Troubleshooting Google Indexing/Crawling Issues: WordPress Edition

raleighleslie.com | Mar. 24, 2016 | 1 min read

Using a friend's new WordPress website as an example I go through the motions of ensuring that their new site is properly crawled and indexed in Google search engine.

I'm curious if you've had any issues when transitioning from HTTP to HTTPS.

When I did this, I noticed that my Search Queries went down to 0 after about a week. I haven't yet seen it come back, but just yesterday I implemented webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/86453/search-queries-report-empty-after-moving-site-to-https and hopefully that fixes the issue. Remains to be seen yet.
