Okay, what in heck does that mean for all the other hosting companies that have agreements with Sucuri? Seems like kind of a minefield.

It's a service, which is now owned by GoDaddy. If it's earning money via other hosting companies, it's still earning money.

As far as all parties keep cool and don't throw a "you're in the bed with the enemy" fit, the WordPress community will benefit.

I'm not having fits, just wondering. This could be a good thing or a bad thing. However, the Manage WP acquisition doesn't seem to have done any harm, and this also might be a way for Sucuri to do more than it could before. But Manage WP is a service used by individuals more than by GoDaddy's competitors, so it's not exactly the same situation.

Actually ManageWP was (and is used) by GoDaddy competitors, including Siteground - we have cPanel integration with a number of hosts. Don't see anything wrong with it, nothing should prevent Google employees or users from using iPhone if they think its the best phone on the market.

Good to know. I haven't noticed ManageWP in my SiteGround cPanel, but maybe I just haven't looked for it recently.

I don't think it will affect existing agreements.

My congratulation to Sucuri. The market players become bigger what means that peace of cake for the small developers become smaller :(
