Another ill-informed article by the same author. It’s really sad to see that. The author seems to have no idea what’s going in the WordPress community right now. His earlier article as well as this one, both stated:

“The current goal is to make Gutenberg the standard editor by WordPress 4.9” — COMPLETELY WRONG!

The Gutenberg project is not anywhere complete and testing your plugins or themes with it right now is not a good idea.
