Lessons from Gutenberg

As Gutenberg nears release, there are many lessons to be learned from the often chaotic process.

Some good food for thought Erik.

I do understand that everyone has different opinions though I do not understand why many wasted so much energy trying to put down the project. I mean yes you should voice your concerns but when it is not going your way you always have the option to start a different branch of WordPress, exactly as ClassicPress did. This is the beauty of open source.

And even though ClassicPress is a result of a big divide in the community, I do hope that with two main projects (ClassicPress and WordPress) now we will have an even bigger community. Hopefully this turns out into a strong partnership between projects rather than rivalry.
