Best Budget Hosting Solution for Growing WordPress Blog

Oct. 15, 2013

Hi
I have a WordPress blog which is hosted on WPEngine. I stated my hosting journey with Hostgator, moved to Knownhost, Linode, private VPS and finally landed with WPEngine for peace of mind. Right now I'm paying $249/month which is actually a lot, but just to keep myself out of hosting hassle I'm paying this price. The problem is my traffic is growing with each passing day, and I might need to upgrade the plan and have to pay more....

I would love to hear your experience with other hosting companies which are hosting your WordPress blog or have experience in the past, and doesn't put hole in the pocket.....

In short: Where to host a rapidly growing WordPress Blog in budget?

Nothing is wrong..Infact they are really good budget hosting..but they are not very specialized for WordPress only hosting..... For example, Dreamhost offers Dreampress which cost around 20$/month, and is optimized for running WordPress blog (nginx + varnish) ....

Hostgator is good for a new blog, and works great till your traffic is consistent and you are not using too many custom script or hooks in your theme (limited Php calls)...I have good experience with them for a WordPress blog, handling up to 20000/day traffic...

Again, it works great but not in all the condition.... I'm talking about a budget hosting which is optimized only for WordPress... For example, I'm currently using WPEngine, which cost me $250/month, and is great for WordPress site...but again not a very cost-friendly hosting....

Hope with people experience, we will get to know about more new hosting companies for WordPress platform...

My traffic is over 20k a day, I am on a dedicated server with them, works great.

How many hits does your blog get? What's the size of the site? How much do you want to spend? Just give the address of your site I will analyze and suggest you a good and easy to work with host

Site5 and Siteground are decent options for WordPress hosting with fantastic support.

Honestly I have had this discussion as of late a lot. Wordpress Managed Hosting is the way to go.

I personally use (no affiliate) www.getflywheel.com - they are an amazing group of folks and the service is also amazing. It starts at 15 and goes up, also is priced a lot cheaper than WPEngine etc.

Here are some discussions I have had recently on this exact topic.

plus.google.com/u/0/+DustinStout/posts/bzJSWTwqzzB - this is more an argument for Managed Hosting more than anything else, BUT 249 a month is insane unless you are making a killing on the site.

Managed hosting is such an easy route, it's all taken care of for you.
