Cool WordPress Snippets

webdesignblog.co | Sep. 25, 2014 | 1 min read

These aren't your average code snippets for WordPress! Add font choices to the kitchen sink, embed twitter mentions in posts, require a featured image before posting, and a couple of other good ones.

why exactly would you insert the favicon or the analytics code directly into your WordPress theme?

@Robert, these code snippets belongs into your functions.php file. Or do you like use a plugin for this?

Yeah, it's better to embed them. My personal favorite is the Twitter mentions one, simply because you can reference Twitter accounts in your posts, simply by typing @ and their Twitter handle and that's it.

Good snippets but four popups before I can see the post?

Four popups? There should only be a sponsored ad and then a "please subscribe" popup when you go to leave the browser. Let me know about the other ones, because they aren't coming up for me, and I will address them. They may not come up for admin, and may be old, which I'll need to dig and remove those.
