Shareaholic responds to recent bashing

blog.shareaholic.com | Sep. 26, 2014 | 9 min read

Shareaholic attempts to defend itself. It's tough to to be transparent when being that shady though. Attempt has failed in my eyes, but you be the judge.

Unfortunately defensive. They lost all credibility.

why call it "bashing" when it was simply exposing their very underhanded business methods?

Mostly because "exposing shady business practices" made for a long title. Will change it to a more appropriate word though :)

"criticisms"?

I like it! Will change as soon as I get to a laptop. Having trouble editing it from the mobile layout.

Guess I can't edit it after a certain period of time. We can just pretend it says 'criticisms' though, eh?

Editing anyone's content and links is a no-no. Doing it without even requesting opt-in is completely unacceptable. It's actually the same company (viglinks) behind Disqus doing this as well, and they also got some flack for it. www.poststat.us/disqus-potentially-adding-affiliate-links-users-content-opted/
