SEO Friendly Images Plugin with Default Configuration can Penalise your Blog

gobloggingtips.com | Oct. 12, 2014 | 5 min read

I don't know whether it's appropriate to post about this on Vladimir's community itself. But here's the heads up for all those using SEO Friendly Images Plugin. The default configuration of the plugin harms your organic traffic and rankings depending upon the naming style of your images. I suffered from low organic traffic from 6 months due to this. At last I found it. See reason, results, how I found it, in the blog post.

I would never use an automatic tool to optimize my website. Thanks for sharing this information, but actually you have to blame yourself for being lazy :)

Automation not being used wisely leads to disasters.
Thanks for scolding me. I appreciate it.
However the default settings of the plugin will be disastrous for many of the webmasters out there. Won't you agree?

Yeah, another time. It's my fault not to look at the default configuration after activating the plugin.

Cheers.

If your website has lots of pages any automatic tool is kind of dangerous, because you can't test the tool on ~1K of pages. If you site is small(er), it's not necessary to use one :)
